Understanding Entitlements
The word entitlement has several meanings on the Verify Privileged Identity Platform. This topic explains each meaning and links to the topic that covers it in detail.
Meanings of Entitlement
| Meaning | Definition | Learn More |
|---|---|---|
Subscription entitlement |
A product your organization subscribes to, with a number of allocated licenses. To view your subscriptions and license usage, select Marketplace > Subscriptions. |
Entitlement type (IT User or Business User) |
Determines a user's base Verify Privileged Identity Platform capabilities. Contracts and some Delinea content call entitlement types license types. Every user receives the IT User entitlement by default. To manage entitlement types, select Access > Entitlements. |
Vendor entitlement |
The limited Verify Privilege Vault capabilities that apply to users with the Vendor membership type. A Vendor entitlement isn't an entitlement type. A user with the Vendor membership type can't have the Business User entitlement. |
PRA entitlement |
Privileged Remote Access (PRA) concurrent user licenses. A user consumes one license while they have active PRA remote sessions. |
Cloud entitlement |
Permissions that cloud identities hold in cloud infrastructure and SaaS tools. Cloud identities are cloud service users and accounts, not Verify Privileged Identity Platform users. Identity Threat Protection (ITP) and Privilege Control for Cloud Entitlements (PCCE) evaluate these entitlements. |
Platform and Secret Server Cloud Subscriptions Pages
The Verify Privileged Identity Platform and Verify Privilege Vault Cloud each have a page named Subscriptions. They show different information:
-
Verify Privileged Identity Platform Subscriptions page (Marketplace > Subscriptions): Lists your current and past product subscriptions, with dates, status, and consumed and allocated licenses. See Software Subscriptions.
-
Verify Privilege Vault Cloud Subscriptions page: Shows Verify Privilege Vault Cloud license limits, such as the secret limit and the limits for sites and engines.
