2.6.1 Release Notes

As of the 2.6.1 release, MacOS 12 (Monterey) is no longer supported. See System Requirements for more information on supported operating systems.

In the 2.6.1 release, the CEF browser was updated to the latest version. This can cause additional files to appear in the C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Verify Privilege Vault Remote\Connection Manager folder.

For mapped secrets with a proxy enabled, Verify Privilege Vault Remote selects the target host from the local secret. In previous versions, the target hosts were selected from the secret on the server

Features

Verify Privilege Vault Remote now offers MacOS users a fullscreen display for a more native experience.
The SSH terminal on MacOS was upgraded for improved performance, usability, and convenience. See Using SSH Session Groups for more information.

Improvements

Administrators can now centrally disable local vault for all users both during and after installation. See Disabling Local Vault via Admin Enforcement for more information.
Users can now launch files attached to secrets using Verify Privilege Vault Remote. See Attaching Files to Secret Launchers for more information.
Users can now adjust the scrollback buffer size on MacOS to update the amount of lines they can scroll back inside the SSH terminal. See Adjusting the SSH Scrollback Buffer Size on MacOS for more information.

The configuring SSH and RDP connection timeout over TCP parameters are now measured in seconds, as opposed to milliseconds. For more information on how this change will effect Windows and MacOS users, see Configuring SSH Connection Timeout Over TCP and Configuring RDP Connection Timeout Over TCP.
Users can now filter secrets by template when searching for a secret. See Template Search for more information.
After upgrading to version 2.6, Verify Privilege Vault Remote will now relaunch automatically after upgrade. See Updates for more information about this and other upgrade improvements.

Added a new Env.OptionAsMetaKey configuration setting on MacOS to allow for better handling of special characters and symbols when working with SSH connections. See Configuring Special Characters in SSH Connections on MacOS for more information.
